Guarantee/Sales Contract
1. I offer a full one-year guarantee against genetic defects on your new dog. I will give you a replacement puppy (same sex and color). Any claim of a defect must be accompanied with written proof by a licensed veterinarian. Replacement puppy will only be given if first dog is returned at owners expense. If you choose to keep your first dog you can still have another puppy at ½ price (same sex and color)
2. I guarantee your puppy is healthy and free of communicable diseases at the time of the sale. If within 48 hours from the time the buyer takes possession of the puppy, it is found by a licensed veterinarian not to be in good health, the breeder agrees to refund the purchase price upon return of the puppy to the breeder. The breeder is not responsible for any expenses incurred. A refund will be given only upon receipt of the report from a licensed veterinarian. The puppy has had all vaccinations and dewormings that can have been given in regard to his age. It is important to take your new puppy to the vet for a complete examination within 48 hours of bringing him home. I have wormed your puppy at least two times, but this doesn’t guarantee that he/she will be completely free of them.
3. I offer a one-year satisfaction/temperament guarantee. I try to place the right temperament dog in the home that most suits it. You must stay in contact with me about any behavior problems you may be having and I will try to help. If you have small children you must supervise them with your small puppy at all times. Small children must never tease, or play rough games with your new puppy. If there is a temperament problem that cannot be resolved I will trade your puppy with a new puppy from the litter of my choice. I will choose the new puppy on his personality, not sex or color. I highly recommend puppy training classes. This is a great way to socialize your new puppy as well as local support for behavior questions.
4. I offer no guarantee as to the size of your new pet. My dogs have many proven generations of miniatures, however a crop-out to a standard is still possible. I will try to estimate the approximate size at maturity. If your puppy has been purchased as a pet, it is required that your puppy be spayed/neutered
Note: If your puppy has been purchased as a pet, it is REQUIRED that your puppy be spayed/neutered. Proof of spay/neuter must be sent to me by 6 months of age. All puppies are sold on spay/neuter agreement unless otherwise discussed with me.
5. If at any time in the life of the puppy concerned in this contract the purchaser cannot continue to keep the dog I am always willing to accept the dog back and find a suitable home for him/her. No exchange of money or replacement is offered in this circumstance.
6. Deposits are non-refundable but can be used at any time towards any litter where there are available puppies.
7. Your puppy comes with an application for registration with National Stock Dog Assoc. (NSDR) When you are ready to send in the application you will need three pictures of your dog, one from each side and a front shot, and $40 (after 9 months of age the fee jumps to $100). When naming your new puppy my kennel name of Windy Cities will come first and then the name of your choice. Your application is an important document . You cannot register your new puppy without it. Do Not Loose It! There will be a $20 fee for new applications.
8. Please let me know immediately if your dog experiences any signs of food allergies, medication allergies, lameness, eye or vision problems, seizures or epilepsy (no matter how small or slight), and any extreme aggressions or shyness. As a breeder the feedback that I get from you is the only way I will know if my breeding program is on track or needs to be modified.
9. The buyer agrees to take good care of the puppy and provide adequate food, water, housing, and medical care. The buyer agrees to follow the breeders recommendations regarding feeding, training, exercise, and general care.
Make sure that you are ready for the responsibility of a new puppy! It takes a lot of TIME and PATIENCE....You must be CONSISTENT and PERSISTENT....
